ELECTRICAL MACHINES LAB

The Electrical Machine Lab is a state-of-the-art facility designed for hands-on training in electrical machines. Equipped with LabVolt equipment and the LVDAC-EMS software, students explore various parameters and principles of electrical machines. The lab covers topics such as transformer tests, motor characteristics, and AC motor analysis. Additionally, the lab includes the Four-Quadrant Dynamometer/Power Supply for in-depth analysis. Overall, the lab offers a comprehensive platform for practical learning and skill development in electrical machines and their applications.

The lab curriculum includes experiments on transformers, motors, and generators, using specialized LabVolt modules. Students compare characteristics of different motors and generators, and analyze the design and operation of AC motors. The LVDAC-EMS software, with its additional instruments, allows observation and analysis of various parameters. The inclusion of the Four-Quadrant Dynamometer/Power Supply enhances the lab experience, providing students with versatile tools for examining speed, torque, power, and energy. By combining advanced equipment and software, the Electrical Machine Lab equips students with valuable insights and practical skills necessary for success in the field of electrical engineering.
